Billing Options

We understand that cost and affordability are important factors when deciding how and when to access therapy.

We aim to make accessing mental health support as straightforward and transparent as possible. Before scheduling your first appointment, we’ll talk with you about the fee for a standard 1-hour session, any potential out-of-pocket costs depending on your payment method, and our cancellation policy.

We provide the following billing options:

  • We see young people accessing therapy via their Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan (also known as a Mental Health Treatment Plan). This allows individuals with a diagnosed mental health condition to claim up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.

To get started, your doctor, psychiatrist, or paediatrician will refer you for up to 6 sessions at a time. If you require additional sessions, your referring doctor can assess your progress and provide a referral for further sessions.

We will discuss any gap in fees with you prior to your first appointment.

More information about the Medicare rebate process, including gap fees, can be accessed below:

  • We see young people accessing counselling via the Victims Support Scheme.

The Victims Support Scheme offers up to 22 hours of counselling for victims of violent crimes. This includes secondary victims (people who have been psychologically injured as a result of witnessing a violent crime).

If you are unsure if you are eligible for Victims Support, you can find more information on their website here:

  • We see young people with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS plans.

Unfortunately, we are not an NDIS registered provider, which means we are unable to work with young people who have an agency (NDIA) managed plan.

If you are unsure about your current plan management arrangement, you can find more information on the NDIA website here:

  • Young people can access therapy as a private paying client. This means covering the full cost of each session independently.

Private sessions may be a good fit if:

    • You don’t currently have a Better Access to Mental Health Care Plan

    • You’ve used your Medicare sessions for the year

    • You’d like more flexibility in the length or focus of sessions

No referral is required to get started as a private client — you can book directly at any time.

If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate depending on your level of cover.
